Four Star General Visits Winters

On August 27, 2004, Gen. Hal Hornburg, Commander of the USAF Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Virginia, visited Winters to recognize the volunteers who helped in the recovery of a Dyess AFB airman's body from Elm Creek Reservoir in May.  Here he is speaking to the volunteers and to Winters High School students.  Gen. Hornburg's father, Truett Hornburg, graduated from Winters High School in 1932.  The General will retire in January 2005, after a distinguished 36 year career in the Air Force.
